:) Build your own "Recovery.img" Using Windows PC :) [ For MediaTek Phone ]

Dear Friends!
Earlier Post we learnt how to build build Custom Recovery by your OWN, using only android! Today we will learn how to build Custom Recovery using Windows PC!

Using PC is always convenient and fast. Also less way to error.

Today I will show you to build CTR Recovery using simple Unpack/Re-Pack tool in PC.

◘ What required ◘
================

1. PC -Windows Installed.
2. CTR Sample recovery.img, according to your Phone's screen resolution (See my previous Post)
3. Stock recovery.img: Collect it from your Stock Firmware (SP Tool Flashable ROM)

◘ Stages  ◘
===========

1. Download "Stock recovey.img" & "CTR Sample recovery.img".
2. Create folder Stock & CTR in desktop & place them accordingly.
3. Download Unpack/Re-Pack tool & Extract it in a folder in Desktop.
4. Now Copy Stock Recovey.img in Extracted UnPack/Re-Pack tool folder name the "Stock Recovey.img" to "recovery.img"
5. Drag the "recovery.img" to "MTK_unpack.bat" file it will extract it in CMD place to a folder name "Recovery"
6. Now Rename it as "Stock"
7. DO the same for "CTR Sample recovery.img" name it as "recovery.img" & Extract it.
8. Now copy the following files from "Stock" Folder's rmdsk to "Recovery" Folder's rmdsk folder.
  • meta_init.project.rc
  • meta_init.rc
  • ueventd.rc
  • meta_init.modem.rc
  • ueventd.goldfish.rc
  • fstab
9. Now Open etc folder of "stock/etc" & copy the following file to file to "Recovery/etc" folder
  • recovery.fstab
10.Now go back and copy the following files from the main folder of "Stock/rmdsk" To the main folder of "Recovery/rmdsk"
  • kernel
  • kernel_header
11. Now Drag and drop the "Recovery" folder to MTK_pack.bat file.
12. A CMD box will appear, Press enter when seek.
13. The CMD will close and an "New Recovery.img"will appear in the folder besides MTK_pack.bat & other files.
14. Delete: Recover" & "Stock" Folder
15. Rename the newly created "New Recovery.img" file to "recovery.img".
16. Welcome you have just built your own "recovery.img"
17. Place it in SD Card & Open it with MTK Mobile Uncle tool and select Recovery update.
18. Phone will reboot to newly created recovery environment.

Installing Custom Recovery using SP Flash Tool

     Earlier Posts I have shared the technique to install Custom Recovery by Mobile Uncle Tool. For Using MTK Mobile Uncle Tool you must root your phone. But Sometimes rooting is inconvinent and may be impossible. So we should have another way to install Custom recovery. This is very secured & easy. Also very easy to root in this way.
